Elementary School Learning Support Instructional Assistant

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Elementary School Learning Support Instructional Assistant will support the daily activities, planning, and supervision of students in the classroom, under the guidance and supervision of the teaching specialist. Learning Support Instructional Assistants are responsible for safeguarding students and agree to abide by all child protection policies and procedures, and agree to participate in all child protection training as mandated by the School.

Primary Responsibilities

● Assist teachers when requested in daily classroom activity planning and supervision
● Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills as designed and prescribed by the teacher
● Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher including computer technology
● Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher
● Guide children in working and playing harmoniously with other children in a variety of settings
● Assist with such large group activities as drill work, reading aloud, and story telling and supervision of children during recess and play period
● Participate in in-service training programs as assigned
● Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully certified teachers

Job Skills and Requirements

● Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
● Exceptional English speaking skills
● Have visa sponsorship by a family member and be able to provide NOC to ASD

● Excellent knowledge of the relevant subject(s)
● Excellent classroom control
● A good sense of humor

Substitute Teacher

The American School of Dubai (ASD) seeks to hire exceptional professionals who are deeply committed to preparing students to be lifelong learners in a dynamic teaching environment. ASD has a need for substitutes in all divisions including teaching positions as well clerical.

Primary Responsibilities

Plan and prepare for effective instruction within the classroom
Provide a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
Effective curriculum delivery
Effective management of student groups, while providing for a variety of learning styles, ability levels, and educational backgrounds
Maintain rigorous and appropriate learning expectations of all students at all times
Monitor student learning and make appropriate modifications of goals and strategies to meet students’ needs
Maintain accurate up-to-date records of student progress and attendance
Engage parents and students in the learning process through frequent and meaningful communications about student progress
Be available to parents and students outside of school hours
Engage in department/team planning, curriculum review, budgeting and other activities
Interact cooperatively with colleagues in the development of cohesive curriculum materials and the establishment of instructional goals
Cooperate with and participate in the planning and evaluation of the school program

Other

Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures

Liaise with the Principal, taking on tasks as assigned, including all school goals
Develop and maintain effective working relationships
Represent ASD with students, parents, colleagues, and broader school community in a professional manner

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sourcing, attracting, recruiting, interviewing, and on-boarding employees to AKKA/Clients

MISSION & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for full life cycle recruitment (pre-screening, interviews for both internal and external hires within various industries; Defense, Aerospace, Naval, Oil/Gas, Railway, Healthcare, Automotive, IT)
Developing a strong network of talent by building relations with candidates as well as maintaining a candidate database
Negotiation of commercial terms with candidates
Gathering of required documents of new hires to initiate on boarding process (visa, offer letters etc.)
Conduct and schedule phone, live or digital interviews
Prepare and update job descriptions as per roles and requirements
Review applications and confirm basic qualifications, skill set, interest, job fit, salary requirements

Job Purpose:
To execute, internal and external audits, audit reviews, accident and incident investigations, and surveillance as directed by the “Manager - Quality Assurance”. Follows up on corrective measures in line with Air Arabia quality standards and GCAA/CAA and regulatory bodies’ requirements to ensure compliance with the same across all functions and areas of operation.

Key Result Responsibilities:

Maintains the QAS adopted for internal procedures, processes and products audits, surveillance and spot checks for Flight Operations in accordance with Civil Aviation standards and requirements.
Assists in formulating, enhancing and monitoring the adherence to QA policies, procedures, processes, and manuals
Partners with Stakeholders and “Manager QA” to gather necessary historical data, documentation, and feedback to ensure that all established operations and procedures adopted in the assigned department are satisfactory.
Ensures Safety regulations are enforced and followed.
Develops, implements and maintains audit schedules, audit standards, and reporting processes in consistence with the quality policy ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and company requirements.
Contributes to the preparation and executing of internal annual audit plan; this includes regular audit checks, new checks, as well as urgent audit reviews; carries out assigned audit plan in accordance with approved checklists.
Cooperates with the Flight Operations head/managers to communicate and execute the audit schedules timely; maintains effective and on-going communication on updates to ensure successful results.
Identifies root causes and assists in formulating and monitoring the adherence to comprehensive corrective actions for regulatory audits;
Follows-up on findings or CAPAs in Q-Pulse and with respective departments and parties to ensure closure of findings.

Candidate Profile:

Preference will be given to candidate with experience in cockpit.
A long term interest in the role will be appreciated.
A balanced personality with focus, analytical thinking, efficiency and commitment to successful results.
Proven skills in analysing data, identifying irregularities and recommending corrective measures.
Cost-oriented, possesses effective problem solving and negotiation skills.
High accuracy and attention to details.
Effective team player capable of supporting teams of different functions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Internet and Web Search, Q-Plus is preferred.
Excellent command over written and verbal communication skills: reporting, presentations, etc.
Good English Language.

Qualifications (Academic, training, languages):

Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering or a Pilot’s License or equivalent; alternately a diploma or certificate in a related field combined with needed experience and exposure required to fulfil the position requirements.
Certificates in Auditing/Quality Assurance/or Compliance such as IOSA or ISO–Lead Assessor are desirable.
Project Management certificate or alternately the proven corresponding working experience is nice to have.
Professional membership of associations related to the Aviation/Airlines industry or is an advantage.

Work Experience:

3-5 years of related working experience in the aviation/airlines industry in the Flight Operations department in Quality Assurance/Audit or related position.
Exposure to the Civil Aviation Authorities and regulatory bodies’ legal requirements, preferably GCAA and/or CAR/JAR-Ops, EASA/FAA.
Familiar with regulations pertaining to Licensing, procedures, and manuals.
Knowledgeable in ICAO Annexes and ISARPS, and relative exposure to Safety/Internal & External Audit practices.
Ability to understand airline and Flight Operations standard regulations.
Possesses knowledge in documentation control systems.
Familiar with procedures and manuals, regulations and quality standards.
