About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Hostess to join the Food & Beverage in Jumeirah Muscat Bay. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
Ensure the hostess desk or entrance is always manned, providing guests with a warm, friendly, and prompt welcome upon arrival.
Manage restaurant reservations, enquiries, and bookings in accordance with Restaurant Reservations SOP and F&B standards.
Greet guests courteously, escort them to their tables, present menus promptly, and coordinate with service colleagues to ensure a seamless dining experience.
Provide personalized service to VIPs and regular guests, maintaining awareness of their preferences, special requests, and dietary requirements.
Maintain thorough knowledge of restaurant operations, seating plans, in-house services, and local information to assist guests effectively.
Handle guest interactions professionally, ensure confidentiality, maintain cleanliness and organization of the hostess area, and attend required training sessions.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
Minimum qualification required is a High School Diploma or Secondary education, while a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality is desirable.
The candidate should have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with Micros and Epicure Restaurant Reservation systems.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential. The individual must demonstrate strong customer service skills, professionalism, integrity, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, respect for cultural differences, and adherence to Jumeirah grooming and service standards are essential for this role.
