Activities

HSE:

    Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company HSE standards.
    Demonstrate personal commitment to the HSE Policy.
    Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
    Openly question established practices and achieve continuous quality and cost optimization improvements
    Create an environment in which a focus on value awareness is developed and constantly think in terms of cost/benefit trade-off.
    Identify and adopt creative and alternative approaches to problem-solving and encourage others to do the same.
    Actively participate in the weekly HSE meetings, and where applicable, attend JSA's / safety meetings, PTPs, drills, Daily Tool Box Talks, etc…
    Assist Lifting department in ensuring that all containers, baskets, lifting gear etc. on supplies coming are in a safe condition, compliance, and with valid certification as per the relevant sections in CMS
    Ensure DG are matching IMDG requirement for backload and report any discrepancies

Operations Management:

    Maintain overview of EPCIC4 CTR's Plan for day to day cargo operations: MR request, vendor delivery, loading and offloading of cargo and vessel movements
    Inbound & Outbound Materials: Verify ALL cargoes are manifested as well as returned documents.
    Control Material Reception Report and check if conform with MR and outbound manifest
    Communicate with offshore MPT about Material Reception and issue NC reports or OSD
    Ensure that final transport to the dedicated installation site is arranged and done
    Daily communication with Onshore Log Supervisor, CTR Log Coordinator (onshore position) and CTR Material Coordinator (located on JUB) if applicable
    Participate in the change of planning of logistics operations according to urgencies and non-planned events on site while ensuring coordination with other entities
    Coordinate with Platform teams to manage the scheduling of vessels alongside the installations
    Finalize Daily and Weekly report activities
    Check interfile transfer
    Provide support with onshore activities management such as hotel, inland transport, PCR test schedule and booking, vaccination program, …
    Other tasks which might be requested to fulfill both personnel and material mobilization for the project.

Reporting:

    Daily Logistics Movements
    Weekly activities report to OOE

Qualifications & Experience Required

    Logistics operations with Minimum 5 years experience in Logistics for Oil and Gas industry (Drilling, Production, Projects and Construction)
    Operational Position, need to be constantly on the Field, Decision making, urgencies
    Good knowledge of Logistics means involved in the Oil and Gas activity (Marine Vessels, Lifting Handling Equipment) and International standards linked to Lifting Handling, Marine Transportation and HSE
    Adaptability, Problem solving, Communication skills with numerous entities, flexible and firm in terms of Respect of HSE rules
    English fluent.

Job Overview:

The Principal Logistic Specialist (Logistics Manager) will report to the KSA SCM Senior Manager and is responsible for MACL Interface and Relationship Management with Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Health & Environment, Ministry of Oil, Ministry of Transportation, KSA Customs, Coast Guard and Port Authorities. Internally, this role has to work closely with all Saudi SCM subfunctions, Finance, Offshore Operations, Marine Logistics, Saudi Fabrication, Engineering and GROs.
   
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Define the logistics strategy for the project execution in coordination with the Supply Chain Lead.
    Define and execute Project Logistics Execution procedures with the reference to the relevant project procedures.
    Managing Logistics Budgeting and Cost follow up.
    Bid solicitation, award and execution of logistics transactions.
    Negotiate with and manage the contractual relationship with the appointed Project logistics suppliers.
    Manage and execute logistics related operational matters in line with project requirements and cost effectively.
    Ensure mobilization and demobilization efforts for project cargo is carried out compliantly with relevant regulations.
    Operate in accordance with all McDermott guidelines and procedures.  
    Manage the Project LTC staff and logistics operation in the Kingdom.
    Oversee and coordinate all cargo movements in line with project requirement and in compliance with McDermott standards and procedures.
    Ensure the operation are in line with the company policies in term of Trade Compliance.
    Coordinate and manage cargo transportation activities for the project vessels and project cargo.
    Review of project load lists and cargo classes to ensure Project compliance with all relevant regulations.
    Liaise with internal/external stakeholders .
    Report status and issues on regular basis to Senior Management.
    Train the SCM Logistics & Trade Compliance, Procurement and Subcontracts personnel.
    Monitor, negotiate, resolve and record all fines and penalties and report same immediately to Senior Management.
    Maintain healthy relationships with KSA Service Providers (Freight Forwarder, Customs Brokers, Trucking) and carrier relationships (Air and Ocean).
    Work on Duty exemptions, follow up and ensure duty exemptions are materialized.
    Secure Dangerous Goods permits and SASO permits as required.
    Work and maintain files on temporary Import duty refunds.
    Monitoring and evaluate all Customs Brokers.
    Logistics Audit and Compliance.
    Out of Gauge and Critical packages project movements.
    Review and update all existing SCM LTC procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
    10-15 years in Logistics and transportation field.
    Experience in any major contractor or consultancy predominately in detailed engineering, Fabrication and Installation in the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferable.

Qualifications & Experiences

You should have at least one year previous experiences within a hotel environment in accounting, excellent verbal and written English communication skills and computer literacy is a must, while knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM and SUN System an asset.
