Guiding and developing designers working in his team. Depending on size of the Job, the Principal Designer will be designated as ‘Lead Designer’ for the Project. Estimating the design & drafting man hours required for the Project during Proposal and Execution stage. Prepare man hour forecast and monitor drafting progress.
Preparation and review of all the required drawings/documents.

Primary Duties
 Preparation and review for proposals/jobs. Reviewing the contents and norms mentioned in the proposal/Project documents.
 Develop the PFD’s, P&ID’s and Mechanical Equipment Datasheets prepare technical layouts and drawings for proposal estimation.
 Allocation and distribution of drafting work to junior designers considering work load in consultation with Concerned Engineer.
 Assess total number of engineering deliverables, drafting and drawing requirements, format of delivery, time schedules and other requirements for execution of the work. Evaluate development method and software requirements; AutoCAD, Smart Plant P & ID, Vantage VPE and other relevant software.
 Issue engineering drawings for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDC’s) coordinate with other engineering discipline in the integration of technical data inputs. Prepare final drawings integrating inputs provided by other engineering disciplines. Consult and make recommendations to Engineers on feasibility of design drawings.
 Prepare the action plan for the job and responsibility of lead Designer and junior designer’s for the particular project and keep track on that.
 Review the Technical Document Register (TDR), evaluate scope of work, number of required drawings and establish design and drafting requirements. Review process schemes, designs, operating parameters, sizing and capacities, instrumentation and control requirements, Area Classification Drawings, Fire and Gas Detector Layout Drawings, Equipment Specifications, materials of construction and other documents.
 Prepare Piping and Instrumentation Flow Diagrams (P&ID’s), Block Flow Diagrams (BFD’s), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Utility Flow Diagrams (UFD’s), Heat and Material Balance, Utility and Instrument Flow Diagrams, Process Safety Diagrams, Material Selection Flow Diagrams (MSD’s), Pressure and Temperature Diagrams (PTD’s), Equipment Data Sheet Sketches, Hazardous Area Clarification Diagrams, Fire and Safety Equipment Layouts, Fire Proofing Zones Diagrams and other required layouts and diagrams. Develop first draft of the P&ID’s using the PFD and other information supplied by the Process Engineers.
 Ensure conformity of designs and layouts in accordance to Company Engineering procedures and ISO Quality Standards. Upload documents into “Documentum”, maintain and archive IDC’s, originals, check prints and Master technical drawings in accordance to Company and quality procedures.
 Maintaining the necessary documentation as per ISO standards. Updating ‘Documentum’, IDC records, Vendor documents related to design/drafting, check prints and Master drawing files.
 Performing all the duties assigned and directed by Direct Supervisor.
 Prepare job close out report with lessons learnt input to Lead Engineer.
 Provide required assistance to Discipline Supervisor for development of technical skills and overall drafting efficiency.
 Provide training to junior designers for the preparation and use of intelligent P&ID’s.
 Perform the duties of Software Administrator in case of intelligent P&ID’s.

Minimum Job Requirement :


Min 15 years related experience plus proven capability in an engineering design firm. Minimum of 10 years of experience in design of oil & gas facilities with extensive experience in front end and detailed design, plus proven experience in AutoCAD.

 Functional Duties

 

· Monitors and inspects a variety of facility installations to ensure compliance with project documents,

including minor and major RCC structure, Building architectural works, Asphalt roads/pavements,

cable/pipe trenches, storm water drainage system, site preparation/earth works, tank foundations,

sumps/pits, grouting works and structural steel erection works and other associated materials used

throughout civil construction works.

· Monitoring and reporting compliance with GA, Civil, architectural, construction, foundation layout, site

grading drawings, sectional details of foundations, building drawings and plot plan drawings, codes,

standards and procedures.

· Quality control inspection of all type of Concrete works, earth works, building architectural works,

grouting works, underground services and structural steel works in line with approved ITP’s.

· Inspection of heavy equipment foundations such as horizontal and vertical vessels, exchangers, building

foundations, Turbine, boiler, compressor foundations raft and spread footings.

· Monitor area excavation, back filling and compaction, this includes works related to cable trenches/pipe

trenches and layer by layer sand bedding for cables/pipes.

· Inspection of E&I duct banks, manholes for underground facilities, foundation for piping and E&I.

· Witness field dry density tests for soil, fresh, hardened concrete tests on concrete ingredients at site

laboratory.

· Ensure protection of concrete like - curing, below and underground concrete protective works.

· Random check using surveying equipment to verify vertical and horizontal alignment, location of

structures, elevation of pipe and other utilities, verifies placement of reinforced steel, embedded items,

concrete quality, placement of form work.

· Inspect culverts, roads, railway line, buildings, conduits, plumbing, sewage, sumps, and foundations

during and after construction for structural quality, general safety and conformance to specifications and

codes.

· Inspect and monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to safety standards, building codes, signs,

markings and specifications.

· Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures and fixtures to ensure

compliance to building plans and codes.

· Monitor installation of plumbing, equipment, and appliances to ensure that installation is performed

properly and is in compliance with applicable regulations.

· Evaluate premises for cleanliness, including proper garbage disposal and lack of vermin infestation

 

Minimum Job Requirement

 

· Diploma in Civil Engineering

· Minimum 7 years experience as Civil QC Inspector

· Should have experience in oil & gas/petrochemical industry

· Should have previously worked with major EPC contractor or their subcontractors

Drilling Engineering is currently seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to support and direct drilling engineering functions to support complex drilling operations; and lead major drilling engineering projects that require original or unusual analysis and solutions.

As the successful candidate you will have extensive experience with Drilling & Workover rigs for all types of well construction (oil, gas, and exploration).

You will have experience to develop cost analysis, and prepare detailed workover evaluations and programs. Prepare standard development practices and procedures to ensure maximum drilling efficiency consistent with safety, economics, reservoir, and aquifer considerations.
Minimum Requirements:
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

You will have a minimum of 12 years’ experience with a strong preference for 15 years’ plus experience as a drilling engineer or foreman in the conventional oil industry. At least 10 years of this should be with a major international operator.

You should have a minimum of 5 years working as an operations drilling engineer with at least 1 year cumulative time working on a rig as a Drilling Engineer or Drilling Supervisor/Foreman or equivalent.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform and demonstrate the following:

Provide sound drilling engineering methods and procedures to be used on assigned drilling problems.

Execute and accomplish assignments and studies in areas outlined in the scope, assuring conformance to overall objectives of all phases of drilling operations in areas including drilling penetration rate optimization, new drilling technology, and drilling studies.

Deliver technical support for many types of drilling wells including complex multi-lateral and extended reach (ERD) horizontal oil and gas wells, HPHT gas wells, offshore and deep water, and unconventional wells. Wells include power water injections and producing wells, exploration wells and all kind of workovers including HST’s.

Analyze advanced drilling data and the performance of new or existing drilling techniques to determine a need for or benefit from studies, recommendations, and/or modifications with respect to unit costs, and operating efficiency consistent with established operations.

Assume ownership of relevant Saudi Aramco General Instructions and standards and, when applicable, recommend improvements to operational processes and guidelines.

Extend training and technical support to junior engineers and ensure the sustained meeting of regional and global standards, practices, and procedures.

Position Description:
We are seeking for an Oil Production Engineer to join Northern Area Production Engineering & Well Services Department (NAPE&WSD).

The department provides production engineering coverage for all Saudi Aramco Oil and Gas wells in the Northern Area of Saudi Arabia.

The engineer is required to handle the complexity and work related activities related to oil producers (both natural flow and ESP wells), water injection, water supply and water disposal wells starting from monitoring the drilling operations, completion design, flowback/testing operations, chemical treatments, logging, and integrity assurance to performance remedial work for production enhancement. Also, involved in monitoring gas wells.
Minimum Requirements:
As a successful candidate, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. Related MSc or PhD is desirable, but not required. Intensive industry training including appropriate specialized courses and seminars is expected.

You must have a minimum of 12 years’ related experience with a strong preference for 15 years’ plus , including 5 years intensive experience in oil production specialty. Also, you should have experience working in oil fields with 15%+ H2S concentration, onshore and offshore environment, and smart well completions.

Ability to provide technical support for well operations, including all aspects of well intervention, well stimulation, well testing, well integrity and application of state-of-the-art technologies.

Should be active in related professional societies and will have achieved professional recognition through publications, committee activities, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You are expected to be able to perform the following:

Monitor daily drilling and work-over activities to ensure suitable completion practices are adopted by the rig.

Prepare detailed rigless well intervention programs and supervise jobs in the field. Programs include

Production logging in horizontal and vertical wells, water saturation monitoring, production enhancement using thru-tubing and bullheading stimulation techniques, portable testing, rigless recompletions etc.

Monitor production performance, diagnose any anomalies and recommend engineering solutions.

Perform production optimization activities to ensure reliability and optimum well performance.

Participate in project technical review and review proposals to ensure efficient/economic operations.

Champion new technologies aimed at improving well integrity, productivity and efficiency.

Represent Saudi Aramco in dealing with manufacturers, vendors and outside consultants.

Proficient in industry used production engineering and completion software for production optimization and well completion.

Conduct seminars; prepare manuals, train engineers and production operating personnel.

    BLS provider.  
    Good English spoken & written, Arabic language advantageous/desirable, but not essential.
