We need a Jr. Engineer - Risk & Safety,
Risk & Safety Engineer
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Preparation/Review of Environmental and safety assessment studies and other relevant studies.
2. Performs/reports Environmental and Safety studies with minimum quality monitoring
3. Details analysis of environmental and safety studies requirements
4. Selection of most appropriate required study methodology
5. Review of applicable contractual requirements
6. Review and validation of HSE study reports
7. Execution of all required HSE studies
8. Preparation of man-day estimates for proposals and tenders for all studies
9. Meeting with clients to understand the scope of work in the project.
10. Request of data for quoting purposes.
11. Submitting data request forms for collection of data and document reviews for the projects.
12. Attending the Sessions & site visits.
13. Preparation of documents & reports as per the scope of work.
14. Co-coordinating with team in BV Kuwait / any other BV Network for execution of projects.
15. Coordinating with Consultants working for BV Kuwait office as per the requirement.
16. Reviewing reports prepared by consultants before submission to client.
17. Addressing all the comments on each study document & reports received from company / contractors.
18. Maintaining project schedules and deadlines by follow-up.
19. Co-coordinating with HSE Manager & other BV Kuwait staff for all the works.
20. Doing all the works assigned by HSE Manager.
21. Updating technical capability by reading respective journals, presentations and standards.
22. To comply with all the QHSSE rules/regulations of BV as well as Client.
AUTHORITIES
1. Authority for Stop Work if the situation is Unsafe
DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
1. Graduate Engineer with Minimum 5 + years of Experience or Post Graduate Engineer with 3+ years of Experience or Ph.D. with 1+ years of Experience in HSE
2. Experience in execution of various Safety Studies line HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL & PHSER etc.
3. If for Risk & Safety : Experience in Risk Assessment/Process Safety Software is required
4. If for Environmental : Environmental Modeling Software experience is required
5. If for Health : Exposure in Health Assessment is required
6. PHAST, PHAST Risk, PHA Pro, SIL Exsilentia and other equivalent softwares if any (HSE)
7. Fully conversant with HSE Studies/Methods and able to select most appropriate technique
DESIRED SKILLS
1. Excellent Communication Skills.
2. Good basic computer skills
3. Good written & spoken English
