key Responsibilities
Scrum & Agile Facilitation
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Ensure Scrum rules, roles, and values are understood and followed
- Support Product Owners in maintaining a well-groomed and prioritized product backlog
- Ensure sprint goals are clearly defined and achievable
Team Coaching & Enablement
- Coach development teams on Agile best practices and self-organization
- Guide teams to improve velocity, quality, and delivery predictability
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration
- Mentor team members on Agile mindset beyond ceremonies
Impediment & Risk Management
- Identify, track, and remove blockers impacting team progress
- Escalate risks and dependencies in a timely manner
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues
Stakeholder & Delivery Management
- Act as a servant leader between Product Owners, Development Teams, PMO, and Business Stakeholders
- Ensure transparency of progress using Agile metrics (burndown charts, velocity, cycle time)
- Support release planning and roadmap execution
- Align Agile delivery with organizational governance and compliance needs
Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report Agile KPIs including:
- Sprint velocity
- Sprint predictability
- Defect leakage
- Team capacity and utilization
- Prepare sprint and release reports for management and stakeholders
Process Improvement & Scaling Agile
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements
- Support Agile transformation initiatives (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe if applicable)
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to improve organizational Agile maturity
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related field
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master for software or IT projects
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, DevOps, UX)
Certifications (Preferred / Required)
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II)
- SAFe Scrum Master (preferred for large enterprises)
Technical & Tooling Skills
- Agile tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Trello
- Understanding of SDLC, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
- Basic understanding of cloud, APIs, and enterprise systems (preferred)
Soft Skills
- Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Leadership mindset with a servant-leader approach
KPIs & Performance Indicators
- Sprint commitment vs. delivery accuracy
- Team velocity stability and improvement
- Reduction in impediments and delivery risks
- Stakeholder satisfaction
- Agile maturity improvement
Nice to Have
- Experience in banking, healthcare, telecom, or enterprise IT environments
- Experience working in GCC / KSA projects
- Exposure to Scaled Agile (SAFe, LeSS) frameworks
- Experience in Managed Services or multi-vendor environments
