Eligible Candidates:

• Director/Principal

School Requirements:

• Education Required: Master
• Minimum Teaching Experience: 2 years of teaching experience
• Major: Master of Education
• Required Certificates:
  Teaching Credential/License

Additional School Requirements:

• Master degree in Education or any other related field or two related post-secondary degrees
• Teaching certificate
• School Administration experience minimum three years
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in education including three in a BC school. Minimum three years as Principal, Vice Principal or administrative leader in a BC school.

Job Description:

The Canadian School Bahrain is a not-for-profit, private international school offering the British Columbia, Canada curriculum.

The Canadian School Bahrain will implement a whole-child approach to learning that will enhance each student's academic, Social, Physical, Emotional, and educational needs.

British Columbia Columbia-certified teachers working with Bahraini Bahraini-certified teachers for Social Studies and Citizenship, Moral Studies, and Arabic Language will teach this integrated educational program.

The core competencies are the intellectual, personal, and social skills that all students need to develop for success in life beyond school. B.C. has identified three core competencies as essential for all learners:

• Personal Awareness and Responsibility

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Head of High School in our school.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Support, implement and model the School Mission & Values
• Work together with the Principal to provide effective leadership to the school
• Implement Strategic Plan and foster School Goals and objectives
• Understand and implement the School Policies and practical applications
• Classroom teaching when needed
• New Teacher Orientation
• Teacher Development and Evaluation
• Focus on Student Achievement
• Prepare all the requested reports for the Principal
• Assist the principal in working with Support Staff
• Assist in student recruitment
• Focus on effective Parent Communication
• Any additional tasks as requested by the Principal
• Provide leadership to grade leaders
• Ensure facility compliance
• School Safety
• Attended all relevant meetings
• Ensure effective teacher planning in compliance with BC curriculum
• School Maintenance (Facility upkeep)
• Develop and Document and implement effective procedures in all areas that become school-accepted practice
