Job Description
Provide inputs for developing logistics & warehousing strategy for optimum utilization of resources (financial, human & infrastructure)
Facilitate the conduct of internal/external quality audits, group internal audits
Initiate prompt actions on the Non Conformance Reports (NCRs) of the audits & close all NCRs in the shortest possible time
Ensure adherence to the applicable SOPs
Monitor all warehousing processes, identify opportunities to improve the same
Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) according to the changes implemented in the processes.
Monitor process cost and initiate actions to reduce/control the same.
Monitor daily performance and initiate appropriate actions to meet the performance targets.
Motivate the Warehouse & Logistics team and maintain high moral to achieve highest level of service to the customers.
Conduct annual performance assessment of the team
Develop & maintain excellent relationships with internal (showroom managers) & external customers (fleet customers) on Logistics services
Ensure that the company vehicles are always kept well maintained by following preventive maintenance programme.
Prepare port clearance plan based on vessel arrival intimation.
Coordinate with other department for faster processing of customs documents required for clearance.
Port and Customs clearance, inbound quality checks.
Scheduling vehicles and drivers for optimum utilization.
Ensure proper documentation and entry of inbound vehicles.
Oversee all activities pertaining to inspection of vehicles for damage during transit and the relevant damage claims.
Ensure updating of system with the received vehicles.
Oversee proper positioning of cars in warehouse locations (by product/model/color/age).
Ensure Pre Delivery Inspection (PDI) are carried out as per Service Level Agreements
Ensure warranty issues of the vehicles are addressed on time.
Ensure that qualities standard are maintained while delivery of the vehicle to the customer.
Prepare transport plan for timely delivery of vehicles to various branches and fleet customers while ensuring optimum vehicle and driver utilization.
Requirements
Bachelor degree from an accredited university.,
Minimum 10 –15 years’ experience in an Automotive Industry in Logistics Operations.
Knowledge of Gulf market
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate effectively at all levels within the business
Fluency in English and Arabic is a must
