About this role
The Aladdin Business Development group is seeking a Director with sales or commercially oriented relationship management experience to join the team and play a key role in growing the business in KSA.
Our group is responsible for developing new client relationships for the Aladdin Business. This includes understanding the requirements of prospective client organizations and leading consultative sales processes that demonstrate and highlight the value of Aladdin to the specific prospect organizations. Business Development professionals must have a solid understanding of cross-assets risk and investment management workflows and ability to think creatively to match up prospect requirements with Aladdin capabilities. As part of the sales process, the team is involved with RFP / questionnaire responses, conducting business process reviews, and discussing the cost/value proposition. Members of the team are also involved in developing and maintaining Aladdin sales and marketing materials, as well as working with BlackRock’s Marketing group on messaging and brand development.
This is a highly collaborative role, requiring partnership with counterparts across EMEA and globally. The role will initially involve working closely with senior team members while developing the skills and knowledge required to independently lead sales opportunities in the region.
This position reports to the Head of Business Development for MEA for Aladdin and will be based in Riyadh
.
Experience Required
The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise across the entire sales lifecycle, from business development to closing across a variety of financial services customers. This person will be accountable for consistently delivering against targets to grow business in the Saudi Arabia and to accommodate broader growth targets in EMEA.
We are looking for:
5+ years’ experience in B2B sales to Financial Services, out of which minimum 2+ years in KSA.
Outstanding track-record in sales with measurable impacts and tangible achievements.
Demonstrated breadth of capabilities and product understanding to cover the full scope of sales activities and functions that form the role.
Outstanding verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence through all levels of an organization.
Proficiency in English required; Arabic is a plus.
