Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform detailed cost analysis of products, materials, and processes to ensure accurate standard costing.

• Monitor and maintain the integrity of inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) in the financial system.

• Review and analyze inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, adjustments, scrap, etc.) to ensure proper accounting treatment.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly inventory and cost reports, including variance analysis and reconciliations.

• Support monthly closing activities related to cost accounting, including journal entries and inventory adjustments.

• Conduct periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts, and reconcile with the general ledger.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities and inefficiencies in the supply chain or manufacturing process.

• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and production teams to align operational and financial data.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimation activities.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies related to inventory and costing.

• Participate in audits and provide necessary costing and inventory documentation as needed.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Senior Cost Accountant.

• Strong understanding of inventory management, cost allocation, and financial reporting.

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.

• Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
