As a Regional Learning & Development Advisor for Boskalis Abu Dhabi office, your role will be to make a mark by creating a clear vision for learning and development within the Middle East, Southeast Asia and beyond. You will have the opportunity to develop impactful development opportunities, specifically tailored to the region, taking into account their cultural nuances and specific needs. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who can think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas.
The Boskalis Learning & Development department is responsible for enabling, designing, and implementing development solutions for everyone across the organization. As the Regional L&D Advisor, you will investigate the needs of the business and functions in the Middle East and translate them into tangible development advice and solutions for various target audiences and business divisions. You will also build relationships with local external learning providers, coordinate deployment, and implement global best practices in the region. You will be an inspiring thought partner for your peer L&D Advisors, actively participate in global projects, and provide practical and creative solutions. Continuous data collection and analysis will be essential for informed decision-making. Additionally you will be working closely with the regional HR team in Abu Dhabi and participate and contribute to broader HR initiatives.
Your responsibilities as a regional learning & development advisor
Representing learning in the region for the Global L&D team. You will also serve as a regional functional HR partner, supporting HR initiatives and activities within the region.
Advising businesses and functions on learning solutions, seeking synergies with global approaches and best practices.
Designing, developing, deploying, and measuring learning solutions.
Building and managing relationships with local learning providers and trainers.
Collaborating with other Advisors and Coordinators on global development solutions and initiatives.
Your qualities
You can make your mark as a regional learning and development advisor you will have:
A completed Bachelor, preferably in a field such as Educational Sciences, Human Resource Development or other HR.
Minimum five years of experience as a Learning & Development Advisor, Talent Development Specialist or a similar role.
Experience with the development of e-learning/blended learning and modern learning technology.
Strong project-based skills, transforming creative ideas into practical (learning) solutions.
Experience in complex and international organizations, navigating their dynamics effectively.
Excellent communication skills, the ability to rapidly build relevant networks. As we are building a new organization in the Middle East, self-starting capabilities, collaboration, professionalism, and entrepreneurship are very important.

Extra information
Your team: In the role of regional L&D Advisor you are part of the Talent Sourcing & Development department. The department's Learning & Development team consists of four L&D advisors and two L&D coordinators and a learning system administrator. You report directly to the Global L&D Manager.
Full/part-time job: The function of learning and development advisor is a fulltime position.
