Job description
Charterhouse is working with a leading global events organisation, who is looking to hire an experienced Event Operations Executive to join their Dubai regional headquarters. This role will involve regular travel to parts of the Middle East and Africa.
About the role
The Event Operations Executive will predominantly focus on overseeing all operational and logistical aspects for a portfolio of corporate events, as well as cultivating and managing relationships with suppliers. Whilst spearheading multiple projects, the role will require active participation in the event experience, from conception to completion.
In addition, the Executive will engage in event experience planning and on-the-day management to shape the overall ambience and presentation of the event. As the primary customer service point of contact, this role will encompass tasks such as sourcing and negotiating venue contracts as well as liaising with the exhibitors and sponsors of the event.
Our client is looking to hire a customer focused individual with a high business acumen and a proven track record in managing extensive large-scale B2B events.
About you
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in event management or related field with at least 3 years of experience in similar roles. The candidate should have prior experience in event operations, cost and budget management, coupled with the ability to foster supplier relationships and strong relationship management skills.
To effectively manage large-scale operations, the ideal candidate should demonstrate outstanding communication and project management skills along with the ability to collaborate across different time zones in this dynamic and hands-on role.
The role demands frequent travel across the Middle East, giving preference to bilingual English/Arabic speakers.
