Location: Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Full-Time Contract – 2 years
Reports to: E2E PM and (functionally dotted to Technical Controller and Cluster Controller)
Note: This is a project-based role, once the project is completed, the job opportunities in the factory will be available with preference for the project team to join the factory structure, considering the suitable opportunity and sustained performance during the project.

We are looking for a Project Finance Controller with experience in Finance or Costing, and a solid track record in similar industries preferentially in FMCG. To join Nestle MENA – Green Field Project Team where Nestle is investing to build a new Factory in Saudi.
In this role, you will act as Co-Pilot (Technical & Finance function) to ensure the project is landing on time, as per planned expenditure and support fact-based decision making on key Strategies and initiatives.
Focus of this role during the project life cycle is to:
Play a key role in providing the visibility on Project cost (cost budgeting and estimating, reporting, driving relevant risk analysis, resource forecasting and change control (maintaining high level of accuracy & timeliness)).
Anticipate roadblocks, potential risk and act / engage proactively with key stakeholders.
Lead the creation of the finance team for the new factory (recruitment & training).
Work proactively and seek support from Nestle Saudi Arabia finance team and MENA Technical Controller.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
Management Responsibilities
Control the cost relating to the investment project & the project team (Budget vs Actual).
Ensure adherence PO compliances, Internal Controls and Nestle Accounting Standards / guidelines.
Develop project controls in line with internal control framework and statutory compliance.
Lead and coordinate with cross functional project teams and BU in achieving the project teams’ mission and objectives.
Preparing, reporting & presentation of Project Financials, Company Financials for Tax returns (VAT/ WHT/ CT).
Liaising with Cluster Finance teams and external auditors.
Functional Responsibilities
Ensure that procedures, compliances, internal controls, and best practices are in place & adhered by all (legal contracts with suppliers, Control of advance payments, PO Compliances, etc.).
Estimate & update the Cash Flow requirement for arranging the financing of the project.
Preparation of monthly spend reports and timely submission to Project Team and Start-up team, HO and different stakeholders.
Ensure full transparency to Technical Controller & BU’s on the project expenditure and major deviations if any which may could lead financial impact.
Ensure that all expenditures details are maintained to ensure correct Capitalization values for each asset.
Enable alignment through clear and open communication to achieve common objective of the project.
Ensure to follow-up timely booking (GR/IR, open PO’s review) & payment of all supplier invoices.
Drive the implementation of Globe / SAP.
Preparation of ACE activities for the new factory (PRE-Prod and PROD).
Develop, control, and ensure that the factory control process (factory mapping), PEC and reporting is fully embedded into the SALAM factory (work shadowing with Dubai factory).
Manage the selection/recruitment of the costing team along with relevant representation by the management functions to ensure that the team possesses the required skill levels. Coach and develop the new factory finance team as individuals and as a team.
Ensure that the project scope is achieved within the agreed cost and timing.
Support the start-up team to ensure a smooth transition to operations and that a successful start-up is assured.
Ensure proper project closing and H/O to the relevant stakeholders.
What will make you successful…
Degree/ master’s degree in business/ Finance and/or Accountancy Qualification (CPA/CMA)
Min. 5 years of experience in Finance or Costing.
Project planning and project execution experience in a manufacturing, Industrial or related environment is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead projects.
Demonstrated successful use of risk management and analysis.
Strong interpersonal skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
Commitment to a strong work ethic, integrity, honesty, safety, compliance, and quality.
