Your responsibilities and tasks:
Process/Project Engineer (Pre-Sales & Execution) will report to the Director of Service and will be responsible for the production of designs, technical and commercial proposals and support of project execution (detailed designs through commissioning). He/She will also run complete small projects under supervision or jointly with senior engineers, centre of competencies and/or project manager.
Key duties – Pre Sales
Liaise with sales and senior engineering team to translate the client requirements into technical solutions
Process, equipment and piping sizing
Development of enquiry stage P&IDs
Development of key assumptions, execution plan and scope boundaries
Costing of equipment/components supply
Review, with multiple functions, enquiry documents and obtain clarifications where required.
Support multiple functions to prepare their respective scope and costings.
Consolidate costs and prepare an overall cost calculation
Consolidate plans and develop an overall execution plan and timeline
Prepare Technical and Commercial Proposals in accordance with defined scopes of supply
Maintain Proposal documentation in line with company procedures and policies to ensure compliance with set requirements & standards.
Key duties – Execution
Support project managers and senior engineers with project activities
Support the project manager with change control and scope variations
Liaise with Senior Engineers to produce designs for P&IDs, Equipment Lists, Datasheets, Process and Functional Descriptions.
Produce requests for quotations for our sub-suppliers, review and obtain clarifications where required.
Perform supplier’s bid analysis and recommend vendors to the project manager/supply chain manager.
Review design documents with senior engineers where required.
Take part of commissioning, product and cleaning tests and initial production support.
Maintain Project documentation in line with company procedures and policies to ensure compliance with design and QHSE standards.
Seek support and clarification from project managers and senior engineers whenever he/she fells unsure.
This position will require extensive travelling mainly in Middle East but may occasionally be required to outside of this region worldwide.
Your profile and qualifications:
Food / Dairy, Chemical or Mechanical related Degree level in engineering
Solid understanding of the Service Business, small Projects life cycle and a strong understanding of delivering upgrade projects into critical environments
English (proficient), Local language would be a plus.
Open-minded and solution oriented, strong problem-solving skills
Team player, good networker and negotiator
