Role Summary:
The Senior Sales Support Engineer will provide technical support to the Sales Team during the multiple phases of a project. S/he will help them assess the technical requirements provided by the clients, study the inquiries and prepare offers in accordance with the specifications. Furthermore, s/he will provide guidance to the support team and junior members such as trainees and interns.
Business Industry: Elevator, Escalator and Moving Walkways.
Location: Dubai, UAE
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Study complex inquiries/tenders regarding commercial and technical matters.
• Check if all required documents and drawings and specifications are available.
• Review Costing and Compliance Statements when prepared by the team.
• Support Sales Engineers with traffic analysis and other requirements at design stage.
• Clarify the client’s requirements and prepare final agreed specifications / inquiries.
• Calculate the material cost based on existing calculations tools or send inquiry to the factory for material cost.
• Calculate the total cost including all local cost (installation, local materials etc.) and prepare a quotation for the client.
• Coordinate with other departments (Installation, Projects, Finance, QHSE etc.) to prepare all necessary information for submitting with the quotation/tender (including arranging bonds and special approvals).
• Meet with the client / consultant / contractor together with the Sales person in charge.
• Assist junior members of the team when needed.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance rules of the company.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with excellent technical knowledge in the elevator industry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• EN standard.
• Traffic analysis.
• Customer-centric approach.
• Problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Time management.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
• Presentation skills.
• Decision-making skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Team player.
• Highly skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, Elevate.
• High proficiency in English.
