Client Officer – Corporate Services

Summary of role

 

You will be a member of a team within our corporate services group that specialises in the provision of corporate services to companies, partnerships, foundations and trusts, including those entities established as investment fund vehicles and related holding entities in the Abu Dhabi Global Market and the Dubai International Financial Centre.

 

Working closely with the responsible Manager, the role requires proactive, hands-on client interaction, including regular client meetings, all conducted in a professional manner and in accordance with regulatory requirements, agreed client service-levels and company standards.

 

Job Specification

 

You will be the main day to day point of contact for the client of record, including the fund manager, board of directors and intermediaries within your designated portfolio of clients.

You will provide support to the management team in the establishment of an effective system of internal control throughout the Company.

This is an opportunity to be part of a close-knit, service orientated team and to contribute to the successful performance of our clients.

As with any role level within our business, we are dedicated to the development of our staff and offer support for professional qualifications / studies. As part of our Junior or Intermediate Officer Programme, the successful candidate will learn and develop the necessary skills to become a Senior Officer at Apex.

 

Essential Skills

 

Broad knowledge and understanding of company administration and corporate governance

Proven knowledge of appropriate ADGM and DIFC legislation and regulation and the ability to demonstrate both compliance, risk and audit awareness.

Good minute writing skills.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to present ideas in user-friendly, business-friendly and technical language.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Self-motivated with experience of working in a team-orientated and collaborative environment.

Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to identify potential risk issues and escalate when necessary and the ability to draft high quality minutes of meetings.

 

Skills

 

Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to identify and suggest procedural improvements.

Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads, working within allocated deadlines and according to instructions and Company procedures, manage time scales and use own initiative.

Confident in using all systems necessary for day-to-day tasks and ability to identify own training needs.

To be aware of, and convey, the correct professional image and high standards applied by the Company

 

Desirables

 

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
