Do you want to fulfil a key-position in our company and play an essential and solid role in the Finance Team? If so, you could be the right person to join us.
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
Manage, coach and develop the finance department.
Define ways of working and associated policies and procedures, including internal controls
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and driving these through the team
Provides status of financial condition and prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data through the Business Control function.
Liaising with (external) parties to comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising Finance Director on needed actions.
Ensures timely preparations of tax returns and statutory reports.
Work closely with ECCO IT to set up and subsequently optimise IT finance processes.
Assume treasury function: ensure reliability of financial figures and reports
Identify with Business Control function deviations on store KPIs and deliverables relating to costs and expenditureAssess with Business Control function where improvements in stock take results can be made and where business efficiencies can be effected
What we are looking for in you:
Background/experience in Retail preferable
Part of operational team
Ideally comes from background big 4 – qualified chartered accountant
5-7 years’ work experience, 2 years of which should be as manager (i.e. having managed team)
Must have gravitas, direct approach, open, someone comfortable working in dynamic and constantly changing environment with new challenges
Not afraid to challenge status quo
Entrepreneurial mindset
Good sense of humor
Tolerant, thick skinned, resourceful and self-starter
Able to deal with chaos
Ready to be lead the UAE Finance team?
