Job Details:

Job Summary: A management position with a broad scope of work and responsibility based in Qatar. The successful candidate will supervise and work with a broad range of stakeholders to implement the first QEAF P5CTS Ops and Maintenance Program for the F15QA.  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In country management of CLS personnel tasked with performing onsite O&M and plan resources in line with company and customer operational needs. 
  • Manage O&M contractor operations for personnel life support issues.
  • Supervise the maintenance, inspection and training programs.  
  • Consult with company engineering personnel to determine solutions to unusual problems in system operations and maintenance.
  • Supervise management and control procedures to provide for early identification of problem areas.
  • Manage logistics and shipping process to and from Qatar for spares and repair program.
  • Provide monthly reports detailing status of all equipment and maintenance activities to comply with customer and end user requirements.
  • Management of Cubic Defense Doha SharePoint site and electronic file control plan.
  • Annual refresher training & Semi-annual internal QA audits IAW ISO 9001:2015/AS9100.
  • Coordination of all flow-through mandatory Cubic training.
  • Coordination of export compliance on behalf of Joint Venture and CLS personnel.
  • Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures.  In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide other support as required by Cubic to ensure successful installation of all P5CTS equipment in advance of IOC.
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.

Minimum Job Requirements:
 

Skills knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Technical background in a similar role with experience of managing a team.
  • Basic IT skills using Microsoft Office and testing software.
  • Ability to perform OJT-instruction as required.
  • Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to use electronic tools and test equipment.
  • Position requires the ability to lift 75lbs. Will entail bending, reaching and fitting into tight places to perform normal duties.

Desirable:

  • Prior military experience and leadership training would be beneficial.
  • Prior experience working in a repair environment.

Education and qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in electronics, or equivalent, plus proven relevant experience in an electronics-related industry.
  • Must possess a driving license.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar.
  • Management training.

  • Individual must have ability to adapt to a remote and/or foreign environment with associated skills in diplomacy and cultural awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Diligent, with attention to detail and high levels of integrity and discipline.
  • Ability to work as part of a team towards individual and shared goals.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiatives and under pressure.
  • Organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and undertake new tasks quickly.
  • Willingness to travel as needed in order to deliver company objectives as may reasonably be required.
