As a General Environmental and Employee Health & Safety - Specialist Professional at Siemens Energy, your day will be filled with meaningful and impactful tasks. You will work on ambitious projects that prioritize the safety and well-being of our employees and the environment. How You’ll Make an Impact

• Define, implement, and maintain EHS standards in Siemens Energy Middle East, developing processes and procedures to ensure a workplace free of incidents, and coordinate with various functions.
• Align closely with internal stakeholders like Project Management, Service Operations, Sales, and Global EHS organization to ensure cohesive EHS strategies. Participate in crisis management exercise and ensures emergency preparedness. Participate in EHS training program for the GS ME team with focus on implementation of the training program in Oman and Qatar.
• Travel to project sites in Oman & Qatar to assess EHS implementation, potentially serving as site EHS officer, and participate in internal and external audits.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks, define corrective measures, and ensure all incidents are investigated, recorded, and monitored.
• Run EHS engagement campaigns, coordinate with Procurement to assess supplier EHS performance, and define health management and environmental improvement programs.
• Showcase leadership and communication skills, participate in crisis management exercises, EHS training programs, and educate external stakeholders on EHS aspects.

What You Bring

• Technical background with an Engineering Degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, environment, or petroleum fields.
• Completed NEBOSH IGC Level 3 and Auditor Training for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; Certified Safety Professional certification preferred.
• Minimum 8 to 15 years of experience, with the last 5 years focused on EHS processes in projects or facilities like power plants or oil & gas industry.
• At least 5 years of experience in power plants, oil & gas industry, or service-related industry for rotating equipment in these sectors.
• Technical experience in a power plant setting or oil & gas industry is advantageous, along with experience working with multicultural teams.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
