We need a Manager Projects & Sites,
Job Objective:
To manage multiple aspects of the planning, design, budget, renovation, and installation processes of the organization’s projects and sites to ensure the highest level of compliance with health, and safety measures, providing stc Bahrain’s employees with the safest and highest standards of working conditions.
Job Specifications:
Strategic Contribution:
Support the Director Support Services in the development and successful implementation of the Support Services department’s strategy, to further drive stc’s corporate strategy.
Monitor the department’s KPIs to ensure proper implementation of HR initiatives in line with the stc’s HR sector strategy.
Collaborate on the preparation and monitoring of the Support Services department’s business plans and annual budget, in line with the company’s objectives.
Control expenditure against approved divisional budget on a regular basis, investigate and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective cost control.
Projects and Sites:
Review project designs, ensure necessary approvals from the relevant governmental bodies are obtained, and lobby for the necessary support for the business.
Manage the inspection of new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies to ensure the efficient and successful completion of the projects.
Lead random audits on sites and projects to ensure facility management policies are effectively implemented.
Consolidate fleet requirements and develop a comprehensive yearly fleet plan to ensure seamless fleet management operations.
Manage operations and maintenance projects on non-technical stc premises, including all retail stores, buildings, and real estate, to ensure relevant policies and procedures are implemented.
Monitor the performance of all subcontractors involved in operating and maintaining stc facilities to ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards and all relevant stc policies and security coverage.
Lead the development of the annual plan for preventative maintenance of all stc buildings and facilities to ensure adherence to set budgets and relevant regulations and guidelines.
Liaise with external suppliers, procurement, warehouses and stock users to understand and predict material usage patterns and ensure optimal materials conditions.
Change Management and Continuous Improvement:
Lead the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the department’s systems, processes, and practices considering international best practices, improvement of business processes and cost optimization.
Research relevant regional and global market trends to stay up to date with best practices and drive relevant initiatives for improvements.
Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure that all divisional reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet stc Bahrain’s organizational requirements, in adherence to the company’s policies and quality standards.
Ensure compliance to all policies and procedures, as well as to controls related to quality, health, safety, environmental management, guaranteeing employee and assets safety and legislative compliance.
Qualification & Experience:
Minimum requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant field
Proficiency in English language
Proven experience in Project Management and successfully delivering large fit-out projects
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant field
CAPM or other professional qualifications
Proficiency in Arabic language
Minimum of 9 years of experience in project / site management, facilities management, assets management, real estate development, etc. The incumbent should have at least 5 years of experience at a supervisory level ideally in the Telecommunications sector.
