Overview
Role: Safety, Quality & Environment Lead
Location: Abu Dhabi - UAE
Role ID: 2024-2272
Hybrid remote/In office

You will have experience in Safety Quality & Environment (SQE) roles in the rail industry.
Key responsibilities:
Develop SQE related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a new passenger railway network, taking into account local conditions, safety laws and regulations and international/national standards
Participate in stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops and meetings to elicit stakeholder requirements and incorporate these into the SOPs
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate SQE considerations into the SOPs.
Key Requirements:
15+ years’ experience in a similar role within the railway or construction industry, preferably in the Middle East region.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
In-depth knowledge of SQE principles, practices, and legislation, with a strong emphasis on railway safety standards and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and foster a collaborative SQE culture.
Professional certifications such as IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), or equivalent will be highly advantageous.
Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is desirable but not essential.
