Key Accountabilities
Lead the development and execution of cutting-edge defense technologies across FPGA, microcontrollers, firmware, power electronics, electric drivers, battery systems, hardware electronics, PCB schematic and layout, harness design, optoelectronics, embedded software, networking, and software development.
Responsible for setting technical strategy, and aligning it with organizational goals and the evolving landscape of defense technology.
Ensure all engineering activities and deliverables meet the highest standards of technical excellence, safety, and compliance with international defense standards and regulations.
Lead cross-functional teams in a collaborative effort to integrate systems engineering, hardware design, software development, ensuring coherent and unified defense solutions.
Spearhead R&D initiatives to explore new technologies, methodologies, and materials that can enhance the capabilities and performance of defense systems.
Deep familiarity with defense industry regulations, standards (MIL-STD), and compliance requirements.
Expertise in systems engineering for military applications, focusing on secure, reliable, and rugged systems that can withstand extreme conditions.
Ability to technically lead projects that span the full lifecycle of defense systems, from conceptual design to deployment.
Proficient in the design of advanced PCBs and hardware for defense applications, including expertise in signal integrity, power integrity, thermal management, and EMI/RFI shielding techniques critical for mission-critical systems.
Demonstrated experience in developing secure embedded systems, with a focus on cybersecurity measures such as encryption, secure boot, anti-tamper technologies, and compliance with cybersecurity frameworks applicable to defense systems.
Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends, and incorporate them into the organizational plan.
Demonstrated ability to inspire confidence and create trust among team members, peers, and stakeholders.
Skilled in communicating complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and support for engineering initiatives.
Exhibits resilience and tenacity in the face of challenges and setbacks, maintaining focus on organizational goals.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges using a structured and analytical approach.
Knowledge/Qualification & Experience
20+ years of progressive experience in electrical, electronics, and embedded software engineering within the defense sector,
Demonstrated track record of technical leadership and innovation in military technology development.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Additional certifications or specialized training in defense technologies, cybersecurity, and systems engineering preferred.
Expertise in defense-specific technologies and systems, including secure communication, electronic warfare, and surveillance systems.
Advanced knowledge of military standards (e.g., MIL-STD) and certifications related to electronic and software engineering in the defense sector.
