Primary purpose of the position:
Coordinate and optimize value and revenue streams (Auto’s & VHHS), functions, and assets, including setting the entity on the right growth-path to achieve its potential in full alignment with the overall company strategy.
Ensure all activities within the agreed scope are carried out in a safe, compliant, and sustainable manner – with high regards for fiduciary duties and requirements (including required reporting to UAE authorities).
Foster staff upskilling to ensure operational reliability.
Keep Line Management and key stakeholders closely updated on all relevant matters.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Set the tone right from the top to foster a strong “one company” culture in line with the stated corporate governance system, values and fiduciary duties.
Ensure Safety, Quality and Sustainability is in the forefront of all executed activities, including supplier management.
Ensure WW Solutions Middle East is in a profitable and sustainable manner, including executing on agreed budgets, business plans and targets, through close collaboration with the broader Wallenius Wilhelmsen group and stakeholders.
Lead the team with the overall objective of making Wallenius Wilhelmsen the preferred Logistics Service Provider in the Middle East, and choice of employer for current and future employees.
Follow up on business performance, identify improvement areas and work with the relevant stakeholders to implement corrective action.
Balance risk / rewards with fiduciary duties – including meeting all compliance standards relevant for the industry.
Work closely with key stakeholders, such as Sales/ Customer Growth, as well as HR, IT and Finance, on all relevant matters.
Drive towards offering value-added services to majority of strategic accounts across both VPC and EPC operations.
Assume role as primary customer facing responsible from an operational position across products / sites within the Middle East entity.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong practical and theoretical logistics business acumen.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate , take responsibility and give direction, within scope of responsibility, on all levels through a regional and global matrix.
Ability to convert strategy into actionable initiatives across the Middle East entity and diverse business area.
Professional qualifications in related business disciplines, together with excellent leadership and organizational skills.
