Repton Al Barsha is a distinguished British international school, which this year has celebrated its 10th anniversary. Recognised for our commitment to excellence, we have achieved a ‘Very Good’ rating from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), and we anticipate a very positive outcome from our imminent British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation.
Repton Al Barsha comprises of both a Senior School and a Junior School. The Junior School spans from Foundation Stage (FS) to Year 6, and over 850 pupils are part of our Junior School ‘family’. We pride ourselves on providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for our young learners, leading to a subject specialist model in Years 5 and 6. This approach ensures that students receive in-depth instruction from dedicated experts in various subjects, enhancing the overall educational experience and preparing them for the transition to the Senior School.
We are seeking an experienced and innovative educator to join our leadership team as the Deputy Head Academic for Repton Al Barsha Junior School.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic direction of the school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education, and supporting the overall development of our students as we strive to achieve ‘Outstanding’ in our next KHDA inspection. The Deputy Head Academic, who is responsible to the Head of Junior School, will also have the responsibility of line managing Heads of Subject in the Junior School, contributing to data analysis, and ensuring quality assurance of teaching and learning. They will work alongside the Junior School’s Deputy Head Pastoral and Assistant Heads for Inclusion, and Arabic and Islamic, sitting on the whole school leadership team.
The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of talent and ability, promoting a love for learning. We are looking for a highly committed team player who brings the drive, energy and passion to a junior school with high expectations of attainment and progress.

Qualifications and Experience:
PGCE or B.Ed with QTS is essential
Master’s or NPQ is desirable
Experience in academic leadership roles within a reputable international school setting
Proven track record of successful curriculum development and implementation
Strong understanding of international educational standards and best practices
