JOB DESCRIPTION
GHD is seeking a Senior Asset Management Consultant to provide strategic and asset management advice to a diverse range of clients in the Middle East.
This is your opportunity to lead business development activities, manage a diverse and talented team, provide technical advice to clients, and develop asset management capabilities within the region.
The role requires:
experience in consulting, business development, project team management and project leadership, with a strong emphasis on asset management knowledge
the ability to work in a dynamic consultancy team, fostering best practices and collaborating with specialists from various disciplines
managing a varied portfolio of projects
managing client relationships and key client accounts
demonstrating solid knowledge of asset management and data analytics
OBJECTIVES
Lead, manage and develop project teams
Lead teams in winning and delivery of projects
Be involved in developing or leading development of data and system solutions to improve the operation and strategy of physical infrastructure and digital assets
Be involved in developing or leading solutions to establish and roll-out data-led solutions for clients
Contribute to and lead a varied portfolio of projects globally
Work with the wider GHD global network of professionals to leverage their expertise to provide technical solutions to clients.
Lead technical aspects of significant and complex projects in asset management and develop innovative solutions or approaches that address client needs.
Be involved with and leading aspects of work winning activities for advisory and the wider GHD business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify key clients and opportunities in the Middle East and lead client engagement.
Undertaking business development to strengthen GHD’s pipeline of projects in the Asset Management and Digital Asset Management fields.
Positioning GHD to secure projects with clients in the Middle East.
Develop proposals (technical and commercial).
Manage project teams consisting of consultants, engineers, and sub-consultants to deliver projects.
Develop asset management plans, asset strategies, risk assessments, conduct data analysis, review business processes and systems, and provide financial modeling and risk management plans for clients.
Foster best practice processes, knowledge, and systems for asset management.
Train and mentor, the team on various asset management disciplines.
Contribute to and coordinate with the wider GHD Advisory and GHD network to strengthen the business in the region.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
Experience within a consulting environment, including business development, team management and project delivery
Strong asset management knowledge with a focus on strategic level advisory
UAE experience and developed client relationships with clients in the UAE
Knowledge of technical aspects of asset management, including engineering, data analytics, facilities management, cost modelling, and asset lifecycles.
Strong management and commercial skills.
Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver results
Strong analytical skills and the ability to engage with and advise clients.
Ability to manage and direct program and project teams.
Ability to collaborate with specialists from different disciplines and coordinate their input.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least 8 years of experience providing asset management advice and implementation support, preferably on infrastructure assets (transport, water, energy) at a strategic level.
At least 2 years of experience in business development and project leadership.
Desire to apply technical knowledge and experience in a strategic/managerial role.
Ability to manage technical work and teams in data and analytics projects
Technical ability in statistics and data engineering
Extensive knowledge and experience of analytical approaches for asset management
Proven analytical skills, including market analysis skills as well as proven problem solving skills.
The ability to evaluate complex issues and to provide solutions to clients.
