Your Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to lead the risk engineering practice and oversee its growth through both production of new business and augmentation of the team. In addition to the day-to-day role of risk engineering, this role will have additional accountability in developing the overall value propositions, teams, pipeline and in territories where Lockton does not have retail presence.
This key role is critical to driving growth, not only through securing new client relationships but also by strategically expanding our professional team. The role goes beyond traditional risk engineering responsibilities. It includes crafting compelling value propositions, cultivating team development, building a robust business pipeline, and pioneering our presence in areas where Lockton does not have retail presence. This position offers the chance to significantly influence and shape the direction of our risk engineering arm of Risk Solutions.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Carry out comprehensive risk/loss prevention surveys to assist clients in implementing loss reduction measures.
Provide informed risk selection advice to clients, brokers, and underwriters.
Travel regionally to perform risk surveys, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Employ exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills to establish robust working relationships with our colleagues, clients, insurance underwriters, and engineers.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
A minimum of 7 years' experience in various aspects of power generation plant/design and operations.
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Chartered Status or a strong commitment to achieving this milestone.
Previous experience in the insurance industry is beneficial but not a prerequisite.

We are looking for a Risk Engineer with construction, operational and power generation experience to carry out risk/loss prevention surveys for a variety of asset classes in the region , with a view to assisting our clients with loss reduction measures and providing risk selection advice to clients, brokers and underwriters are key components of the job.
The position is Dubai-based and requires a flexible approach to travel carrying out risk surveys on a regional basis. Good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential in order to develop a strong working relationship with our colleagues’ client base, insurance underwriters and their engineers.
