Rejlers International Engineering Solutions AB operates in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and delivers high-quality engineering and project services to Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries mainly in UAE and other Arabian Gulf Countries. We are now looking for Lead Automation Design Engineer, Instrumentation & Automation to execute projects and support bids in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Reports To
The Lead Automation Design Engineer , Instrumentation & Automation reports to Line Manager, Instrumentation and Automation and to the assigned Project Manager.
Job Overview
The Lead Automation Design Engineer, Instrumentation & Automation is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.
In your role, you will Lead and Execute multiple projects (local and international) and also you are responsible to prepare instrumentation and automation engineering documents and drawings as required for project and assigned by Discipline Manager.
You should have a desire to be at the forefront of the oil and gas sector and deliver outstanding projects.

Responsibilities and Duties
The ideal candidate will support the team on process industry-based project design work for smooth execution.
To assist engineers / Design manager / Discipline Manager for the engineering design of the project.
Ensure verification of source data, concept drawings / concepts as required, Site Visits.
Prepare and ο¬nalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant department / discipline, submission date as per Client / Contract requirements.
Familiar with systems as minimum ICSS/DCS/ESD/F&G/BMS/Package Control Systems/RTU/PLC/Third party interfaces/IT & OT security system requirements etc.
Preparation and Review of all automation related design deliverables I&C Design Criteria/Plant Control System Configuration /DCS Function Grouping /System Architecture/ Control Room Layout /Elementary Wiring Diagram / I&C Grounding Concept /I&C Power Distribution Diagram /Point Database/System IO List /EL-IN Interface List /3rd Party Serial interface /Interconnection Cable Schedule /Hardwired Console List /Cause & Effect Diagram /Control & Interlock Narrative /Interlock Logic Diagram /Functional Schematic Diagram /FO Cable Termination Diagram /P&ID Review/ BOM/BOQ Estimation /Material Purchase Requisition /Technical Bid Evaluation /Technical Evaluation Report through MS-office, AUTOCAD, Micro-station, and required calculation shall be performed.
Review of Control systems OEMS vendor deliverables and meetings with OEMS & Clients.
Prepare / review the design outputs in the form of design computations, drawings and specification.
Review of design document, drawings, etc. issued by various disciplines, design subcontractor and ensure Client’s approval.
Close coordination with Instrument team for the control system inputs.
Familiar with ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa and Siemens control systems as minimum.
Participate in HAZOP Study/SIL Classification / Layer of Protection Analysis /SIL Verification
Alarm Management Study.
Responsible to ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings and necessary coordination with Client.
Responsible to lead the team of Engineers and Designers.
Overall responsible for inter discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/ deliverables and procedures to the Client.
Ensure compliance to Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Requirements for the project.
Responsible to ensure unclear issues are resolved with Client through technical query in coordination with inter discipline leads, managers.
In coordination with procurement department, ensure that procurement inputs required for design has been obtained from vendor and forwarded to the design subcontractor.
Participation of FAT, SAT, commissioning, pre-commissioning as required.
Coordinate for the preparation of as built.
Qualifications
Engineering Graduate (BE or B. Tech or BSc. or MSc.)
Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience in Instrumentation and Automation competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and Chemical Industries.
Minimum 8 years in a Senior Role.
Telecommunication knowledge would be an added advantage.
Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Group of Companies
Working experience with reputed Engineering Consultant(s) would be an advantage
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team player, smart-working, problem solver and can-do attitude
Fluent in English language, Arabic speaking would be an added advantage.
