We are currently recruiting a Junior Buyer to be based in our Dubai office as part of the growth of the team!
Responsibilities:
Trading best sellers, identifying gaps and new product opportunities and frequently reviewing the range to maximize sales.
Analyze sales and inventory weekly, monthly, quarterly & yearly to identify risks and opportunities within the assortment.
Gather key insights by doing in-depth analysis at brand level & SKU level to evaluate performance & scope of improvement.
Monitor stock levels & look into reorders to ensure availability of top-sellers and fresh assortments throughout the season.
Develop strong vendor partnerships and maintain collaborative relationships with existing vendors and internal partners.
Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal with existing and new suppliers.
Ensure the timely delivery of products and compliance with the contracts of purchase.
Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Work closely with the marketing team to develop marketing programs, weekly/monthly promotional calendar, campaigns & edits etc.
Perform time to time research on upcoming fashion trends, comp-shops etc. to analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
Qualifications/Requirements
Knowledge and understanding of consumer needs, the ecommerce and retail environment, and will have a sharp commercial mindset with full comprehension of marketing and sales principles.
Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Passion for eyewear fashion and trends.
