Job Purpose
The project engineer must be able to Programing & manage AV projects such as home automation, Lighting Control, Public Address, video wall with the knowledge of Crestron, Extron, Lutron etc from start to finish, to the approved project parameters e.g. client requirements, quality standards, budgeted cost and delivery schedules to meet committed client requirements. He must be techno-commercial and must fully understand and follow industry’s best practices for project management & HSE.
Job Responsibilities
Perform project planning, technical / material approvals, project tracking & monitoring, detailed documentation, resource management, team motivation and team work, etc.
Identify & access all the risks including cost & timing after award of the project
Supervise the technicians / sub-contracts for running projects and ensure on-time project completion
Coordinate with other contractors like MEP, HVAC, BMS, Fire Alarm, etc. and ensure their integration with ELV System
Lead and guide the commissioning team to obtaining the System functionality
Attend the service calls and basic troubleshooting the system on project warranty period
Perform project forecasting and ensure the man power and material available at right time
Conduct value engineering studies and exercises to ensure cost savings to AFT and provide value added benefits to the client
Verify & confirm BOQ, Prelims & other expenses in advance to avoid unwarranted / unaccounted costs.
Prepare RFQ for issuing subcontracts and recommend the ‘best fit’ sub-contractor for the job keeping the costs low
Reduce internal manpower costs by managing resources appropriately
Submit weekly reports on all projects to the management clearly showing escalations where required along with project based cost savings
Provide delivery schedule to the commercial team at the beginning of each project
Project Management
Any other additional tasks the line manager may give and is within the scope of work
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree in Electronics/ Electrical / Telecom or a related discipline
Experience
Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.
Certifications
Certifications in Crestron and Extron programming and well known in other product etc..(Control4, Lutron, KNX systems), Update it with the latest trends, hardware, and features in AV equipment.
Certifications in Home Automation, Audio Visual, Public Address, GRMS, Lighting control System (KNX)
Knowledge & Skills
Proven hands-on practical knowledge with Programming and project handling for the system of Audio visual, home automation, Lighting Control, Public Address, video wall, etc
Should have an excellent knowledge in preparing AV system drawings using AutoCAD software.
Good knowledge in OS, Networking, Storage and other basic ICT technologies
Teamwork, Written, verbal communication & presentation skills.
Valid UAE Driving License is Mandatory.
Excellent relationship building skills
