About the job Financial Accountant
Are you a detail-oriented financial professional looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to growing organisation? Our client is recruiting a Financial Accountant and play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of the organization. As a Financial Accountant, you'll be an essential part of the operational finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Director.
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Collaborate with the Finance Director to provide timely and accurate financial reports, insights, and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Perform monthly and annual financial closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.
Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, reconciling discrepancies and ensuring timely payments and collections.
Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate and complete financial data for operational purposes.
Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Detail-oriented mindset with exceptional organizational skills.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and present financial insights.
Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
Strong ethics and integrity in handling confidential financial information.
