What you will do
As an Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing forecasting, analysis, and reporting for the Middle East and Africa Region. Your role is crucial in providing vital information to Finance and business unit leadership, supporting strategic decision-making. You will ensure accurate financial forecasts, conduct in-depth analysis, and prepare comprehensive reports. Your insights will chip in to effective strategies and initiatives for driving business growth in the region.
In this role, you will report directly to the BT&S Senior Finance Director for MEA. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for gathering and ensuring the integrity of data. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment will be crucial in meeting deadlines and providing accurate and timely information.
How you will do it
As the FP&A Associate Director, you will be accountable for budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, core financial analysis, and other related tasks as required. Your expertise in these areas will be vital in communicating accurate and factual financial information to support decision-making within the organization. You will lead the annual operating plan, periodic forecasts, and monthly reviews. You will also coordinate planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles to meet business needs. Your will play a crucial role in presenting accurate financial information for decision-making and driving business performance for assigned region.
As an experienced professional you will prepare operating packages, coordinate financial reporting systems, and communicate financial performance to collaborators. You will oversee management reporting and promptly reply to information requests.
As a FP&A Associate you will implement global process changes, support merger/acquisition integration, recommend technology improvements, and ensure IT system integration and will develop and implement improvement initiatives that focus on cost reduction, cycle time improvement, and quality enhancement, in line with generally accepted accounting principles, customer satisfaction, and business financial performance. You will demonstrate the ability to balance financial and operational factors optimally, analyze complex business problems, and develop timely and responsive solutions.
As the BT&S MEA Associate, you will oversee and coordinate the regional FP&A function, providing mentorship and coaching to staff. You will also support the hiring, performance management, and retention of FP&A staff, while advising on workforce planning needs and career development opportunities.

What we look for
Required
Bachelors (or local equivalent) Degree with finance concentration
A minimum of 8 years of broad-based operational finance management experience, encompassing multifaceted responsibilities, within industry-leading companies is required
Highly analytical with ability to develop deep business insights, detect trends and anomalies, and to develop a coherent “story” behind the numbers
Ability to efficiently present information and respond to information requests from senior executives, stakeholders, cross functional business leaders, peers and customers
Significant experience working with complex global financial information systems in a large organization
Proven track record of Continuous Improvement (CI) in group operations including optimization of processes and reporting, post-merger integrations and system implementation
Excellent organization skills and ability to advise others, with a proven record of delivering quality results on time within a sophisticated organization
An energetic personality with a proven track record to coach, guide, lead, align, empower and develop complex teams (direct and functional reports and broader teams and individuals) in a multifaceted environment
Holds excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written across all levels of the organization
Strong customer and business orientation and desire to develop business acumen
Fluent in English and applicable local language(s)
Preferred
Professional accountancy Qualification such as, CPA, CIMA, ACCA, ACA or MBA in Finance
MS-Office, IScala & OneStream experience preferred
ERP implementation and process mapping experience (IScala)
