Job Purpose
To plan, schedule, direct and supervise the day to day operations and staff, related to Vehicle tracking and management system (VTMS), to ensure its maximum serviceability and its optimal usage in supporting dnata operations.
Job Accountabilities:
• Knowledge and experience working as a subject matter expert with a vehicle telematics system, ideally in an airport environment.
• Knowledge in vehicle telematics installation or removal, repairs and corrective maintenance on ground support equipment and vehicles to meet operational needs in line with the agreed service and safety standards.
• End-to-end experience related to the administration, reporting and monitoring of a telematics system.
• Must have experience in using data from a telematics system to analyse, diagnose and identify anomalies in order to drive serviceability.
• Experience of working successfully with multiple stakeholders within a vehicle tracking management and telematics environment.
• Must have theoretical and practical knowledge of equipment, operations, maintenance and engineering, ideally in an airport environment.
• Support Technicians in managing repair methodologies, parts selection and technical diagnosis to ensure individual repairs and maintenance is conducted safely, efficiently and cost effectively.
• Establish regular two way communication with teams and shift management to ensure clear understanding of objectives including daily shift briefings, safety tool box talks, shift hand overs and new process introduction.
• Provide on the job training and support to guide Technicians on maintenance techniques, fault diagnosis and repair, uses of different tools and machinery and safe working techniques to ensure the development of skills, safety, lean and 5S principles at work.
• Conduct adhoc inspections of ongoing jobs and regularly validate post-job quality inspections.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer specifications and maintenance manuals.
• Knowledge and experience using a Maintenance Management System would be an advantage.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualification:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or/and Electronics) with atleast 2 years of relevant experience.
• OR Diploma in automotive, electrical or electronics with more than 2 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge/Skills:
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient IT, Computer Literacy and MS Office applications.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a UAE driving license.
