The Financial Planning & Control Director will establish, coordinate, and administer the financial control and financial planning aspects of the business. The Director will ensure that the Financial Control framework is in place and is monitored on an ongoing basis and that Financial Planning, Budgeting and Reporting is effective and informative for Senior Management. They will work with the CFO to ensure that appropriate investment analysis and decision support is provided along with funding and play a lead role in the groups international tax planning and group structuring. Managing and leading a small team. They will also have oversight for the firms Finance & Procurement ERP System.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for putting in place a robust financial framework
Manages the development and sound implementation of Finance policies, systems, processes and procedures
Ensures that the Financial Audit Plan is in place and is implemented successfully.
Responsible for reviewing accounting technical issues and specific investment accounting issues on an ongoing basis
Ensures key financial processes are in place and operating efficiently
Ownership of Finance aspects Governance and Financial Authorities
Support portfolio companies in putting in place robust Financial Frameworks
Petty cash custodian
Leads budget related exercises across the business to ensure that provision is made for all activities
Lead financial planning across projects, including preparing, implementing and monitoring project budgets
Supports the CFO and key stakeholders in providing financial reporting information on a monthly basis/or as required
Oversees long-term cash forecasting in order to assist company wide decision-making process
Act as the finance lead in supporting investment decision making
Produce high quality material and analysis to support investment decision making
Directs and executes all pre and post - deal structuring finance activities
Ensures timely tax advice is in place to support deal closure
Supports existing investments in decision and board support
Supports subsidiary companies in issues identified and ongoing operation of businesses
Support monetization processes across portfolio companies
Ensure the provision of the capital required including negotiating the procurement of capital and maintaining the required financial arrangements
Maintain liquidity to meet the financial obligations, through funding from equity, bank borrowings and day to day cash management activities
Support subsidiaries in ensuring their funding requirements are met
Lead Interactions with Banks in relation to the raising of capital
Support subsidiaries with interactions within Banks in relation to management of existing facilities, and new capital raises
Ensures the business is structured in the most efficient perspective from a finance perspective
Oversees the Finance aspects of New Company set up
Supports the management of investment platforms including ensuring wider group considerations are taken into account
Ensures that the group complies with its FATCA/CRS reporting requirements across the Group
Management of the CBCR requirements across the Group
Responsible for oversight of the organisations VAT obligations and ensuring compliance with requirements
System Admin for Finance ERP system
Performs Super User role supporting Finance and Procurement
Support in development of firms Finance ERP systems
Performs ad hoc training as and when required
