About the role
We are recruiting!
Mott MacDonald is currently looking for a Transport Planner in UAE to support the delivery of ongoing projects and the company’s positioning for prospects in the marketplace.
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but are not limited to, the below:
Provide line management and mentorship of junior members of the team ensuring the team’s work is regularly reviewed prior to submission
Prepare technical and financial bids and engage in business development activity
Assume the role of Project Manager on medium-sized projects taking responsibility for the successful delivery
Remain point of contact for clients, addressing needs and queries on assigned projects
Manage project finances (including invoicing and contract/commercial management), tracking progress and budget on assigned projects ensuring commercial success
Provide management and direction of sub-consultants on assigned projects
Demonstrate the ability to use initiative to solve the majority of problems that could occur on a project
Develop an understanding of Mott MacDonald methodologies and project management principles, and implement them on live projects
Skills in managing own time and the time of others, setting priorities for others in order to meet deadlines
Assist with resource management for the team, ensuring projects are properly resourced and team members are sufficiently occupied
Candidate Specification
Minimum Bachelors’ degree in a relevant engineering discipline; a Masters’ in Transport Planning and Engineer would be advantageous
Prior experience as a Transport Planner in the areas of transport planning/modeling/engineering.
Keen interest in understanding future mobility opportunities
A self-starter and the ability to work both alone and in teams resolving complex tasks
Membership in a relevant, recognised professional institution would be a distinct advantage
