Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
The Senior Marketing Specialist will support top line growth and brand reputation through the preparation of compliant and responsive proposals and positioning materials. This role will also enable the creation of impactful technical content in line with Stantec’s brand and messaging guidelines and promotional activities to support business growth. This enabling function—which includes writing, editing, and project management, and elements of client management —will extend, as needed, to all content creation across Stantec’s Marketing and project delivery teams in the Middle East.
• Plan, manage, and deliver complete proposals by applying Stantec’s established systems and processes for winning work, including proactive guidance and support to internal business developers/senior management and direct engagement with client procurement teams and other external stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to Stantec’s governance process and procedures for proposals
• Liaise with technical specialists to resolve technical questions and carry out research across Stantec’s business operating units to identify appropriate technical experience and qualifications to support proposals or other deliverables
• Support with client account management, in particular with procurement teams and systems to ensure Stantec is appropriately registered with key clients
• Author and edit Stantec Marketing content (copywriting), this includes, staff CV’s / SMKC Profiles, SMKC project profiles, internal messaging and Lens content, Stantec.com content, awards submissions, conference papers, and client outreach material
• Develop proposals boiler plate material / content library
• Develop training materials and deliver training and coaching on various topics of technical writing, editing, and document production workflows/automation.
• Provide support with/develop solutions in tools including MS Excel, Power BI and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and in- Design to enhance efficiency across a range of business activities
• Work with sector leadership to identify and deliver promotional activities to strengthen client relationships and support business growth
• Guide and coach junior team members
• Other duties as requested from time to time by the Marketing & Communications Manager and sector leadership.
Competencies:
• Proposals management (project management for proposals)
• Application of style guides (knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style is mandatory)
• SharePoint and other collaborative working platforms
• Intimate knowledge of developing proposals in Buildings, Transport, Infrastructure and Community Development

Person Specifications and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture or applicable technical/scientific discipline related to Stantec's core business
• Four to five years of proposal management experience, preferably in the A/E/C industry
• Additional experience in technical writing and editing, with demonstrated portfolio of technical content in high-impact outlets, preferably related to A/E/C industry.
• Understanding of commercial / contractual elements of the work winning process
• Must have advanced expertise in Microsoft Word and be highly proficient across the MS Office Suite with a working knowledge of Adobe InDesign
• The ability to manage a heavy workload, prioritize, with a close attention to detail.
• The ability to work autonomously, reviewing your work on a regular basis while consistently meeting your objectives.
• Strong team working capabilities. Committed to developing team members and working with all levels of management on a daily and ongoing basis.
• An initiative-taking approach, working effectively in coordinating activities and complex tasks, taking professional responsibility in all matters.
• Be of the highest calibre: punctual, attentive and competent in adhering to Stantec’s policies, procedures and working practices.
• A flexible approach to working hours and travel; with occasional weekend work if required.
