We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Doha for a:

 

Instrumentation Assistant Technician - Male

Job Purpose:

This position is a unique opportunity with so many advantage in oil and gas career sector in one of the most important Project handled by SPIE in Qatar with  Qatar Energy in which the Contract in his 6th year multi discipline tasks in Maintenance and Operation of a large Industrial Area

 Client satisfaction concluded by one year extension of the project contract and manpower number increased

The candidate starts with general skills in DCS, Burner Management System, SMART field transmitters, filed instruments such as flow meters, level transmitters, motorized  valves, temperatures transmitters, solenoid valves, PLC's / SCADA, vibration monitoring systems, fire & gas system, traffic light systems

Experience in on-line analysers, salinity, free chlorine, chlorophyll, and TOC analysers, familiarity with various types of detectors and sensors used

for fire and gas detection shall be an added advantage.

 

He then draws attention to his ability to manage a repair department, perform preventative work, and follow safety protocols.

The candidate concludes with important abilities including documentation and communication.

 

Your main duties will be to:-

- Assisting the Instrumentation engineer on the maintenance tasks.

Installing and performing diagnostic tests on Instrumentation devices and  systems.

Developing and implementing Instrumentation maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.

Troubleshooting equipment & devices malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs.

Documenting processes and maintaining Instrumentation service records.

Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies.

Optimizing Instrumentation efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings.

Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of devices and equipment.

Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.

 

Profile

Ideally you will have graduated in Diploma / Degree or ICT in Instrumentation with a minimum experience of 03 Years in in oil and gas Industry or with Major utilities as a Instrumentation  Technician Assistants,

To perform devices repairs.

Familiar with hand tools, fasteners and other similar equipment.

Preferred qualification is a E & I trade certificate.

Staff selected for this position shall have good spoken in English.

 

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
