Synopsis
Support the managers to deliver ethics and compliance services to Etihad Aviation Group. Develop skills, experience and the qualifications to become competent ethics and compliance professionals who can operate with moderate levels of independence.
Accountabilities
All activities to be performed under the supervision of the manager who will provide or facilitate relevant training and support.
Data Privacy
• Coordinate Etihad business areas to maintain Etihad’s regulatory Record or Processing Activities.
• Review and approve data privacy Triage submissions from the business.
• Review Data Subject Requests under relevant privacy laws and coordinate the business to respond to them within regulatory timeframes.
• Ensure that cross-border flows of personal data are mapped and that related systems and processes are documented.
• Track, follow up, and report data Privacy Impact Assessment actions and risks. Build and maintain strong relationships with the business to ensure that they are actioned in a timely manner.
• Manage the Data Privacy inbox.
• Coordinate data breach investigations
• Respond to personal data requests from law enforcement
• Respond to simple privacy related enquiries
• Perform simple to moderately complex Privacy Impact Assessments assigned by the Manager.
Ethics & Compliance
• Manage incoming correspondence and calls, processing compliance queries in all areas where possible. Channelling more complex queries to the Manager for advice, guidance or action or where so determined by internal procedure. Maintain the ethics and compliance log.
• Assign cases for investigation and track progress
• Support the Manager to administer the Integrity Partnership and to deliver other initiatives that embed a culture of integrity within the organisation.
• Support the manager to deliver the Conflicts of Interest Declaration process. Review and resolve simple to moderate conflicts competently while escalating more complex conflicts to the manager.
General
• Perform due diligence of suppliers in relation to sanctions, export control, anti-bribery and data privacy. Recommend corrective action for standard risks identified. Escalate non-standard and complex risks to the Manager for resolution. Maintain structured records for all due diligence activates performed.
• Assist the manager to perform compliance risk assessments in data privacy, export control, sanctions and anti-bribery. Perform simple to moderately complex risk assessments independently with supervision.
• Support the Manager to deliver and execute the annual communications plan. Prepare compliance policies and procedures using the department approved templates for final review.
• Prepare and report departmental performance statistics including training completion rates, risks identified, risk ratings, risks mitigated, and allegations reported, due diligence activity and similar.
• Support with departmental procurement activities.
• Achieve a relevant professional designation such as CCEP, CIPM (or other IAPP certification), CFE, CGSS or similar within a set period (typically two years).
• Support the manager to deliver relevant compliance training
Education & Experience
• University degree educated in any discipline (law degree an advantage). Committed to further learning.
• At least two years’ work experience preferred, but the role is also suitable for fresh graduates.
• Demonstrable ability to work under pressure with good attention to detail, be self-motivated and able to manage own workload effectively.
