Area Sales Manager - Building Automation

You will be working as Area Sales Manager Building Automation and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Buildings Division located in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible to define, plan, implement and adapt locally the global product strategies of assigned product lines, according to value propositions to support local sales. Support the local sales organization, to achieve volume, quality, and quantitative targets of assigned product lines in a profitable way. Responsible for building the knowledge level of the team and to lead, develop and coach the product marketing team on subjects such as their product portfolio, the customers, and competitors.

Your responsibilities
Implement the marketing and sales strategy for the assign set of countries, according to Division strategy and to the assign product group strategy, implement the marketing and promotion action, define, agree, and implement business plans, commercial strategies and product launches with the local sales units to achieve the target.
Ensure high level of service provided to sales companies and customers, sufficient resources and local competences at the local sales unit; support, coach and develop local product marketing team and assist with business plan, budget, and forecast regarding assigned product portfolio.
Ensure commercial and technical support to the local sales unit and grant fast decision-making process for offers, transfer prices and terms and conditions. Share market information with Product Marketing Directors and Global Product Manager to define the product strategy and product development collect and report market development and trends and communicate this information to Regional Leader and global product group, plan the launch of new products and release according to the local product roadmap and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
Ensure budget (volumes) and profitable growth targets are achieved in the respective countries, achievement of target on Orders, Net Price Variance (NPV), Net Promoter Score (NPS), provide customer insight (surveys, interviews, product usage data, etc.) and ensure continuous customer & market monitor (customer/segment potential and penetration index, geographical coverage, etc.).
Coordinate market/product analysis together with sales team, i.e. customer research, market conditions, market share, competitor data and product benchmarking. Must be able to anticipate the evolution and future of the industry, and how to use this understanding to enhance competitiveness.
Responsible for pricing analysis (incl. competitor’s comparison, develop regular price lists, etc.) and deciding together with Local Sales Manager the price strategy based on the product value proposition to position it for the local market and to maximize profitability. Review product profitability and initiate corrective actions.
Your background
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
10 to 12 years of Gulf experience in Building Automation, Building Management systems, Central Battery systems (Emergency Lighting).
Building Management, Home automation, KNX certified.
Experience in Sales, Marketing or Product Management.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
