Job Description

Ensure timely and accurate design work by coordinating, monitoring, reviewing and managing design consultants' work in conjunction with the allocated Technical Department team.

Liaise with VP Projects, Project Manager, Commercial department, Sales and Marketing department to ensure complete satisfaction on design related aspects of the project, including high levels of design efficiency and cost management awareness. Proven design management experience on residential-led masterplan communities is preferred.

Coordinate with your Technical Department Team and Design Consultants to ensure timely and accurate management of design delivery for assigned projects.

 Assist the VP Design in the development of the Project Briefs, Professional Services procurement strategy.

Support the VP Project and the Project Manager on any technical input or studies required

Prepare the RFPs for Design Consultants and specialist consultants for each project.

Establish design work delivery with the Design Consultants and monitor design programs.

Develop and finalize the Project Design Management Plan.

Actively participate in Design Consultant(s) selection and contracting.

Monitor work of allocated Technical Department team members and the Design Consultants to ensure design accuracy and completeness as well as scope compliance.

Evaluate and endorse the variation orders/change requests submitted by the Design Consultant(s) for the Project Manager's approval. 

Monitor / manage scope changes, and obtain timely approvals from the leadership and change requests by consultants.

Manage the preparation, submission and obtaining of all required planning and authority approvals.

Review and report to the VP Design all monthly reports submitted by Design Consultant including weekly Areas of Concern reporting and recommended plans of actions.

Manage the preparation, delivery and final submissions of Design Stage Reports for attaining the Design Stage Gateway Approvals from the Chairman and VP Projects in accordance with the Design Management Process.

Support and provide technical assistance and design coordination to the Project VP as it relates to construction activities.
