Project Specialist, G42, UAE

You will lead laboratory/environmental sciences transformation, data analytics and AI projects, collaborating with technical teams and reviewing their work. You will collaborate with clients and SMEs to define the product backlog and requirements. You are responsible for end-to-end planning and implementation, ensuring that best project management and architecture practices are adhered to during the project to ensure successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

Required Skillset and Responsibility

Gather business requirements from stakeholders and producing Business requirements specifications (workflows, user cases, user stories and detailed specifications, definition of verification method)

Benchmark and evaluation of existing digital products in the market for defining a concept of the inhouse digital products and development

Definition of UX/ UI for data analytics products and communication with product designer to improve the look and feel

Experience in data modeling (Entity relationship diagrams and UML notations)

Knowledge of different business process modeling notations (BPMN, ARIS)

Understanding of Service oriented architecture (SOA), microservices and cloud concepts, including Kubernetes, docker, OBS, VPC, cloud tenant, etc.

Knowledge of different mechanisms for APIs (pull and push mechanisms, REST, SOAP, etc.), cron jobs for data transfer and security related practices OAUTH, SSL

Defining project roadmap and product backlog (Product increments, sprints, etc.) and track the implementation.

Review of technical documents: High level design and low level design documents, providing feedback to the technical architect to meet business objectives.

Understanding of Geo Information systems and defining the requirements for implementation. Experience with QGIS or ARCGIS is required. Python knowledge for analyzing geo data for defining requirements for the implementation

Understanding of the statistics, knowledge of R or Python for data analysis and defining requirements for AI models (minimum required knowledge of pandas and NumPy libraries)

Understanding of limitations of different data science models and their application to non- normally distributed data

Knowledge of ETL processes and Datawarehouse concepts

Experience with Laboratory Information Management systems and laboratory operations. Definition of AS- IS and TO-Be processes. Business process optimization and breaking down this optimization requirements to the system design changes.

Understanding of Laboratory Quality Management standards. (ISO 17025, CLSI GP26-A3, ISO 15189)

Knowledge of information security practices for the data, producing and reviewing documents in collaboration with information security lead and legal team

Setting project goals and creating plans to meet those goals

Maintaining project timeframes, budgeting estimates and status reports

Coordinating project team members and developing schedules and individual responsibilities

Implementing IT strategies that deliver projects on schedule and within budget

Using project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence

Conducting risk assessments for projects

Organizing meetings to discuss project goals and progress

Qualifications

Experience and Qualifications

5 years of experience with business requirement management whilst detailing them into technical architecture and specifications

2 years of experience as data scientist

2 years in laboratory digital transformation projects

3 years as IT Project Manager

2 years IT management consulting

MSc in computer science

Certificates in cloud computing (Aws azure, TOGAF, CoBit, Dama (DMbok))

Scrum project management certification
